Every time I visit this photo collection it brings me life-VIVIR!! Lindsay and Robert took the romantic leap and left their jobs in the California to spend a year in Spain, busking (playing music on the street) and teaching English. This adventurous, destination wedding took place in the hills of Mijas in the Andalusian region of Spain. I enjoyed being present for all of the lively preparations in the morning including Robert’s mom creating floral arrangements and Lindsay’s father creating the arbor. Everything felt very unique and exotic and I was glued to photographing…EVERYTHING. The day was full of humor and passion including exploring the terrain for the perfect first look spot. Earlier that week, Lindsay honored a local custom where the bride makes an offering to a convent nearby in town, and in exchange a nun givers her a small basket of fresh eggs. Delicious tapas were on the menu along with rotisserie-roasted meat. Other distinct impressions of the day included all of the animated faces of family and guests as well as the muted, dusty, natural tones of the Mediterranean landscape.
